Anthony Sullivan Bio

Anthony “Sully” Sullivan is a British pitchman well-known for appearing on infomercials for various products, including Slimming Pants, Jet Tan, Foodsaver, Swivel Sweeper, Smart MOP, Point ‘n Paint, and many others.

Born in Devon, England on February 11, 1969, Sullivan began his career as a salesman when he was a teenager. He worked for London street vendors until in his early 20s. While on a Hawaii trip, Sullivan chanced upon a meeting with some entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs were preparing to advertise the Smart MOP, a newly invented floor mop, and they were looking for a spokesperson who could sell the product. Sullivan was chosen for his marketing experience and skills, which then led him to work for Home Shopping Network in the United States.

The Smart MOP became a success in the US, and with that Sullivan became easily recognized by television viewers. In 1998, the Home Shopping Network hired Sullivan as a primetime show host. A year later, he left the Home Shopping Network to establish his own company, Sullivan Productions. With Sullivan Productions, he was able to introduce and sell new useful products to consumers.

In addition to being a successful salesman, Sullivan is also an accomplished director, writer, and producer. He was also a good friend to another successful infomercial salesman, the late Billy Mays. Mays and Sullivan appeared together in the Discovery Channel documentary series entitled “Pitchmen”.
